Privacy Policy

Habits Monitor (the "App") — effective date: 25 July 2026.

This policy explains what data the App collects, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: your habit data belongs to you, we collect the minimum needed to run the App, the App is free and shows ads (with your consent where required), and we never sell your data.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your email address (and, if you sign in with Google or Facebook, the basic profile information those providers share — name and email). Used solely to create and authenticate your account.
• Habit data: the habits you create (names, descriptions, categories, schedules, targets, reminders) and your daily completion records. This is the content of the App.
• Crash diagnostics: if the App crashes, anonymized technical diagnostics (device model, OS version, stack trace) may be sent to our crash-reporting service to help us fix bugs. These reports contain no habit content.
• Advertising data: the App shows ads served by Google AdMob (see section 4). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID and ad-interaction data (e.g. which ads were viewed or tapped). Your habit content is never shared with advertisers.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing data.

2. Where your data lives

Habit data is stored on your device first and synchronized to our backend, hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL), so you can restore it and use multiple devices. All transfers use TLS encryption. On the server, row-level security restricts every record to your account — no other user can read your data.

3. How we use data

• To provide the App's features: tracking habits, streaks, statistics, reminders, and cross-device sync.
• To fix crashes and improve stability.
• To show ads that keep the App free (via Google AdMob — see section 4).

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Your habit content is never shared with third parties for marketing.

4. Advertising

The App is free and displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process your device's advertising ID and ad-interaction data to serve, limit, and measure ads; this data is shared with Google as our advertising partner. See how Google uses advertising data and Google's Privacy Policy.

• Consent: where required (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR), the App shows a consent dialog before any ad request, and you can change your choice at any time from that dialog.
• Control: you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

5. Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In the App: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, habits, completions, and reminders from our servers.
• By request: see our account deletion page or email us (below) and we will delete your account within 30 days.

Uninstalling the App removes the local copy of your data from your device.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR in the EU), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be announced in the App. The effective date above always reflects the latest revision.
